Chinatown

Chinatown has authentic Chinese food, herbal medicines, silks, sweets, teas, painted umbrellas and an assortment of souvenirs to tempt you.

On one side of the main road named 'Eu Tong Sen Street' is the large Peoples Park department complex and on the other side are traditional small family owned houses with shops at the front of most buildings. There is now a foot bridge linking the two sides of the street.

When it comes to eating be sure to try some cooked corn cobs and if in season the dried flat sliced pork meat. There is also no shortage of chinese restaurants in the area so why not have Yum Cha (Dim Sum) for lunch.

For more multiple food options visit 'Food Street' for local economy style dining or 'Club Street' for more western upmarket influences.
