Deepavali

The 'Festival of Lights' is one of the most important Hindu festivals and is concentrated around Sarangoon Road.

It occurs in October and November and symbolises the victory over darkness.

Other customs of the festival include restaurants selling sweets and coloured lights that are hung around Little India.
