Kusu Island

According to ancient sailors who spoke Mandarin, this Island was once a Giant Turtle that transformed into the Island to save two fisherman - one Malay and one Chinese. It is located off the south eastern point of Singapore's mainland.

The main temple on the Island called 'Toa Pekong' holds a annual ritual by devote Taoists during the ninth month in the Chinese New Year calendar. Their is also a major holy shrine on the Island called 'Keramat'.

Travelers usually visit this Island to practice their religion, relax at the quiet beaches or see the turtle sanctuary.

You can visit the Island daily by ferry from Singapore's World Trade Centre Terminal. No passports are required for this Island hop.
