Changi Chapel and Museum

This is a must see for any adult or teenager who wishes to reflect on the allied imprisonment (POWs) by the occupying Japanese forces during World War II.

This museum is now four times the size of the original museum and houses objects including personal effects, paintings, photos and sketches. Also included are moving letters contributed by ex-POWs to family members.

The main points of interest include the replica of the wooden chapel originally built be hand by Allied solders during 1942 to 1945 symbolising hope to all POWs and the murals painted by Bombardier Stanley Warren who was recovering from dysentery and Changi Hospital.
