History Museum

The 1886 built building that previously contained the Raffles Library and Museum now holds items that trace the establishment of the Island from the 14th century.

Major exhibits include an ancestral hall; a Peranakan House called the 'Rumah Baba', a collection of drawings and 20 amazing dioramas.

Also exhibited is 'The Singapore Story' which is a 3D visual representation of the nations history from the colonial period to present day and the paintings by one of the earliest British administrators whose name was William Farquhar. Another beautiful exhibit to view are the Jade Carvings donated by the Tiger Balm founders.

The History Museum is closed Mondays and also offers free-guided tours at specific times.
