Sri Srinvasa Perumal

This temple was fully restored in the 1960's and was originally built in 1855 using funds donated by a wealthy Indian entrepreneur.

During the 'Thaipuasm' festival procession, which occurs in January or February, you will find this temple is used for the starting point of the annual festival.

The temple, which is now considered a national monument, is open mornings and evenings only. It must also be noted that women going through their monthly cycle are not permitted to enter the temple complex.

Main features of the temple include a vast prayer courtyard, a chariot that carries deities and a 'Thulasi' plant, which is a symbol of womanhood and faith.

The temple is located in Little India and is close to the Sakya Muni Buddha Gaya Temple.
